Harvard Kuumba Singers

Founded in 1970, Kuumba is the oldest existing Black organization at Harvard University. Kuumba is a Swahili word meaning “to create” and expresses our mission to celebrate Black creativity and spirituality through music, poetry, spoken word, and other creative expressions.
